[WTL] OPT OUT (Mind Control)

Aoba has a compelling voice that he can use to command people and/or sell them things. He can also enter people's minds and explore them, and potentially destroy them if he screws up in there. Both these powers are manifestations of a power called Scrap.

The mind-entering part of Scrap requires significant OOC planning, and is therefore opt-in only. Please contact me OOCly if you would like to play with this.

Aoba’s voice power is especially noticeable when he is using a professional phone voice. Characters, particularly male ones, hearing him use this manner of voice may find themselves unusually attracted to and compelled to flirt with him. They will also be a lot more open to suggestion, hence why it’s great for sales.

In the case of Reason, the Aoba most people will get to know, it’s unlikely that he will use it deliberately except for self-defence. Desire, however, has very little restraint in using Scrap for even the pettiest of reasons.

I will always note if Aoba is using Scrap, and provide an in-tag opt-out if Scrap’s use has not already been agreed OOCly. The Meadous magic being a bit funny is a perfectly fine reason for it to not work.

If you wish to opt-out entirely from Scrap being attempted on your character, please reply to this post.

Just as a heads-up, Rhys specifically has magical tattoos meant to counter mind control magic! I'm still open to Aoba trying to control him anyway, though, or perhaps a partial effect due to Rhys's tattoos being less effective against natural powers versus sorcery (IE, like a vampire's compulsion, etc)

Oh, that's very interesting. In that case, Rhys's defenses would definitely be less against something like this, so it would be interesting to play with! Definitely something to keep in mind when they get to interact!
